North Evington Constitutional Club memorial saved

Our policy is that where ever possible we return a memorial which has been at risk back to into its original community. We also feel strongly that war memorials should not be bought and sold as antiques.

Very occasionally were there has been a real danger of permanent loss of a war memorial in a sale or auction, we have been obliged to pay - this being the lesser of two evils.

One very recent case is the Roll of Honour shown here - that of North Evington Constitutional Club.

There must be many people who have some knowledge of the club and its history - and possibly even of the men and women named upon it.

If you do know anything please do get in contact. They deserve to be honoured with respect - not jobbed off in a second hand shop.
