Albert was born on 22.5.1889 in Aylestone and baptised on 16.6.1889. His parents were William Jarman, a shoe riveter and Priscilla Ann (nee Glover).

They had 4 children –

Rose Eveline 1890

In 1891 census the family lived on Saffron Lane, Leicester. In 1894 Priscilla died aged 36.
In 1896 William married Mary Ann England. They had no children. In 1901 census the family lived at 89 Emerald St.
in 1906 Albert left Liverpool on 23rd August and sailed to Quebec on the Kensington.

Albert’s enlistment documents of 24.2.1916 Ontario record that he gave his father, William Jarman of 63 Havelock Street as his next of kin. He stated that he was an unmarried farmer. His appearance was 5 feet 6 inches tall, ruddy complexion, blue eyes and fair hair and his religion was presbyterian.
He became Private 654532 Canadian Infantry and Died of Wounds on 1.4.1919. He is buried in Welford Road Cemetery, Leicester (Up.1461).
