Albert was born in 1899 in Leicester to Harry King (framework knitter) and Mary Jane (nee Hincks).
He was one of 14 children-

In 1901 census the family lived at 98 Sherrard Rd. and in 1911 census they were at 104 Upper Charnwood St.

Albert enlisted from 34 Hartington Rd, Leic. and became Private 821807 5th Battalion Seaforth Highlanders. He was Killed in Action on 24.7.1918 aged 19 and is buried at Marfaux British Cemetery, France.
