Albert Edward

Albert was born in 1897 and waiter was born in 1898 both in Leicester. They were the first 2 children of Walter Shore, a boot and shoe clicker, and Beatrice (nee Smith).

In 1901 census the family lived at 15 Willow Bridge St. and in 1911 census they had moved to 75 Sherard Rd. and Albert, aged 14, was a telegraph messenger.

Albert became Private 12053 7th Battalion Leicestershire Regiment and was Killed in Action, aged 19, on 14.8.1916. He is on the Arras Memorial, Pas De Calais, France.
