Baptised 25 Feb 1897 at Leicester, St Paul’s the son of Charles Samuel Allen & Kate Thacker they married at St Pauls Church on 27th December 1891.

His mother died in 1904 aged 33 and is buried in Knighton Churchyard Charles Samuel remarried to Edith Lount in 1908 and in 1920 Electoral Registers the family are at 86, Lorne Rd., Clarendon Park, Leicester.
