In 1901 census the family lived at 41 Bruce Street, Leicester. In 1911 census they were at 81 Wilberforce Road.
Archibald enlisted, from 81 Wilberforce Road, on 10.2.1915 leaving his job as a wood Jaster. He became Drummer 1716 ¼ Battalion Leicestershire Regiment. Archibald went to France on 2.5.1915 and Died of Wounds on 15.10.1915. He is buried at the Lillers Community Cemetery, France and is also on the Martyrs Church Memorial, Leicester.
