In 1907 Benjamin married Harriet Ellen Evatt. And they had 1 son, Benjamin MT in 1915.
In 1911 census Benjamin senior lived at 14 Newton Lane with his married daughter, Florence. Benjamin junior lived at 13 Churchgate, Leicester with his family and ran his own fried fish bar.
Benjamin became Private 203194 4RB Battalion Leicestershire Regiment and Died, aged 38, on 14.4.1917 in a hospital in Louth. His home address was given as 38 Cecil Road, Leicester and he is buried at Welford Road Cemetery (Uol.175). He is also on the All Saints Memorial, Wigston.
