Born in Bromsgrove in 1893 the son of Henry James & Mary Davis (nee Wheeler) they were married 2nd October 1880 at Bromsgrove Parish Church.

He married Ethel Olive Wardle on Valentine’s Day 1916. His widow Ethel Olive remarried at St James Church to Edgar Smith on 24th Dec 1919
