According to his attestation certificate Edward was 18 when he enlisted, he was born in Leicester and worked as a shoehand.
He became Private 5299 2nd Battalion Leicestershire Regiment and went to France on 9.11.1914. He was Killed in Action on 19.12.1914 and is on Le Touret Memorial, France.
I cannot link him to a family before his enlistment.
