Frank was born in 1895 in Barrow on Soar, Leicestershire to Arthur Cunnington, a stone labourer and Jemima (nee Thompson). They hag 12 children –

In 1901 census the family lived at 14 Vulcan Road.
In 1911 census Jemima is living at 87 Sherrard Road with her daughters and younger boys. Father and older boys may be working away.
In 1916 Frank married Lizzie Warmington and they had a daughter, Irene, in 1916.
Frank became Lance Corporal 4241 Machine Gun Corps. He was Killed in Action on 4.10.1917, aged 22, and is on the Tyne Cot Memorial, Belgium (panel 15-159 & 163A).
At the time of his death his home address was given as 7 Frederick Road.
