Fred was born in 1885 in Leicester to Harry Tebbet, a shoe rivetter and Alice (nee Joyce).

In 1891 census the family lived at 84 Earl Howe St.
In 1901 census they were at 55 Green Lane Road and Harry had been promoted to foreman. Fred worked as a shoe Jaster.
1907 Fred married (Evelyn) Mary Boynton and had a son, Reginald Fred, in 1908.
In 1911 census Fred and his family lived at 11 Shenton Street and Fred
was a sole sewer.
Fred became Private 203697 in Leicestershire Regiment and then Private 117066 Machine Gun Corps. He Died of Wounds on 28.4.1918, aged 34, and is buried at Manchester Southern Cemetery (Q406).
At the time of his death his wife was living at 66 St. Saviours Road. His photograph is in Illustrated Chronicle 6.7.1918 pg4.
