George Thomas Fox
George was born in 1895 in Leicester and baptised on 7.4.1898 at St. Saviours Church. His parents were George Henry Fox, a railway telegraphist and Emily Jane (nee Flower).

In 1901 census the family lived at 81 Sherrard Road.
In 1911 census they lived at 42 Sherrard Road and George Junior was a typewriter inspection room assistant.
George became Private 957, 2nd Battalion, Seaforth Highlanders.
He Died of Wounds on 19.9.1914, aged 19, in No. 4 General Hospital, Versailles, France. His funeral was attended by a Guard of Honour of French ‘Iroops, flowers being placed on his grave by local French people.
