George Harrison
George was born in 1894 in Leicester and baptised on 22.4.1894 at St. Saviour’s Church. His parents were George Harrison, a dairyman and Ada.

In 1901 census the family lived at 25 Florence Road, Leicester. In 1908 George senior died aged 41.
In 1911 census Ada was a widow living at 9 Matlock Street and George junior was an engineer fitter.
George became Private 40477 8th Battalion South Staffordshire Regiment. He was Killed in Action on 12.10.1917 and he is buried at Cement House Cemetery, Langemarck, Belgium (xii.E.12).
