George Thomas

George was born in 1896 in Bristol and baptised on 3.11.1897 at St. Philip and St. Jacob in Bristol. His parents were John Crossby Milburn, a boot laster, and Harriet (nee Gabb).

They had 8 children-

all born in Bristol.

all born in Leicester.

In 1901 census the family lived at 6 Cecil Gardens, Leicester and were still there in 1911 census.

George became Private 243029 18th Battalion Leicestershire Regiment and was Killed in Action, aged 21, on 5.12.1917. He is buried at Cambrin Militar Cemeter, France.
