Harry Hackett

Harry was born in 1886 in Leicester to Alfred Hackett, a general carter, and Elizabeth (nee Bland). They had 6 children –

In 1891 census the family lived at 3 Donnington Street and in 1901 census they were at 24 Percival Street where Harry is listed as a shoe finisher, aged 14.

On 30.7.1910 Harry married Georgina Ward at St. Saviour’s Church. They had 1 son, Stanley C, in 1915. He died, aged 3, in 1918.

In 1911 census the Hackett family lived at 22 Hart Road and Harry and his family lived at 14 Hart Road. Harry was a pressman shoehand.
