Henry was born in 1894 in Leicester to Arthur Corby, a pork butcher and Julia (nee Bell). They had 3 children-

Henry Cecil 1893
In 1901 census the family lived at 2 St. Saviour’s Hill.
In 1911 census they were at the same address and Henry was a drapers clerk.
Henry became Private 200478, 7th Battalion Leicestershire Regiment and went to France on 26.6.1915. He was Killed in Action on 22.3.1918, aged 24 and is on the Pozieres Memorial, Somme, France.
