In 1901 census the family lived at 166 Mount Rd., Leic.and Thomas was a bootlaster.
In 1911 census the family lived at 130 Mount Rd. and George was listed as a boot machinist.
James joined the Territorial army aged 17 whilst working as a shoehand then enlisted in the Notts and Derbyshire Reg in June 1914. He embarked for France on 11.11.1914 and was KIA on 09.08.1915. He is commemorated on the Menin Gate, Ypres, Belgium.
