He was the son of Charles E. and Emma Jane Keene. On the 31st January 1920 the Wyggeston Grammar School for Boys in Leicester published a Roll of Honour in which Arnold is not shown, however his name appears on both the memorial within the school grounds, and also the Roll of Honour that is displayed in the entrance foyer to the school.
