Percy Gordon

Percy was born in 1896 in Leicester to Arthur John Gordon, a master printer, and Charlotte Matilda (nee Powell). They had 6 children-

In 1901 census the family lived at 12 Medbourne St., Leicester and in 1911 census they had moved to 63 Mere Rd.

Percy became Private 500611 4th Battalion Leicestershire Regiment and was Killed in Action on 28.3.1916 aged 20. He is buried at Ecoivres Military Cemetery, Mont-St.-Eloy, France.

The war diary for today records, 2nd Lt. C. H. COX joined from 3/4th, LEICESTERSHIRE REGIMENT. Casualties one other rank killed.
This must have been Percy.
