Sidney Victor

Sidney was born in 1898 in Leicester to Edwin Foster (shoe machine operator) and Emma (nee Tipler). He was one of 11 children-

In 1901 census the family lived at 49 Mount Rd., Leicester. In 1911 census they lived at 59 Sherard Rd.

Sidney became Private 266722, 6th Battalion, Seaforth Highlanders. He was Killed in Action on 24.12.1917 and is buried at Red Cross Corner Cemetery, Beugny, France.
