Gateway School 1929-33. Son of Arthur and Ada Taylor. Husband of Barbara Yvonne Taylor.

In addition to having a base at Gibraltar, 727 Squadron also had a detachment based at RAF Tafraoui near Oran in Algeria. Naval Airman Taylor was killed when his aircraft crashed off the North African coast. He is commemorated on the Lee-on-Solent Memorial, Bay 4, Panel 3.
