Thomas was born in 1900 to Thomas Bembridge, a railway engine stoker and Emma (nee Wright). They had 6 children –

In 1901 census the family lived at 13 Frederick Road, Leicester and in 1911 census they had moved to no. 29.
Thomas enlisted as Private 57689 in 1/8 Battalion Lancashire Fusiliers. He was Killed in Action, aged 18, on 27.9.1918 and is buried at Ribecourt Rd. Cemetery (2 row D grave 3).
