In 1881 census the family lived at 9 Sparrow’s Forge Lane, Wednesbury.
In 1891 census the family lived at 42 Edwyn St., Leicester.
In 1901 census they were at the same address where George was a railway clerk and William, aged 13, was a chemists assistant.
In 1905, 8th August, George married Ellen Farmer at St. Mary’s Church, Hinkley and in 1908 they had a daughter, Phyllis.
In 1911 census William was still living with his parents at 25 Bushby Rd, Leicester working as a tailor and George lived with his family at 5 Spinney Hill Rd., Leicester working as a railway clerk.
William is buried in Faureuil British Cemetery (1.B.17). William is also on the memorial at St Barnabas Church, Leicester and at Welford Rd. Cemetery (un 1 725). His brother, George, was also KIA.
