There is no 1891 census but in 1901 census the family lived at 40 Benford St., Leicester.
In 1911 census they lived at 76 Sherrard Rd. and William was a shoe finisher.

William became Private 51361 14th Battalion Leicestershire Regiment and was Killed in Action on 4.8.1916 aged 26. He is on the Arras Memorial (Bay 5), Pas De Calais, France.
