Two Hinckley district lads, both serving on the same ship, have been reported missing this week.

Mrs S Baker of 111 Clarendon Road, Hinckley has received official notification that her husband Able Seaman Sid Baker is missing. Before joining the Navy two years ago he was employed by Messrs. George Ward, Barwell.

He is the son of Mr and Mrs C Baker, Tudor Road, Hinckley who have four other sons in the forces, one of whom is also reported missing. He was serving on the same ship as A/B Ron Bonsir, whose wife, Mrs. Bonsir of 22 Chapel Street, Barwell, received the news last week that he was also missing.
