The Leicestershire Regiment in the Great War

The Leicestershire Regiment in the Great War

This volume records the names of 7,200 + men of the Regiment who died in the Great War, with a history of the actions in which the Regiment was involved written by Robin Jenkins who has now joined us after retiring from The Record Office.

The list was originally compiled and displayed in an exhibition at The Newarke Houses Museum, “From the Trenches to the Twenties” put on as part of the commemoration of the centenary The Great War from September 2018 to March 2019.

Originally printed on very large 10ft. high fragile foam board they were too large to display elsewhere; too valuable to be lost – they had to be preserved. The solution is this handsome volume.
